Teacher Professional Development Survey

Demographics

Denver Zoo is in a unique position to bring real-world learning and experiences to teachers and students. One of our new focuses is to provide teachers with professional development opportunities that invite them to be a part of conservation and increase capacity to connect their students with meaningful and caring conservation actions they can take to help wildlife. Since Denver Zoo is a zoo-based conservation organization, our main objective is to offer programs directly in support of our mission to inspire communities to save wildlife for future generations. As we consider our future direction, it is important that we understand how our efforts might intersect with teacher and school goals for professional development and student learning. Thank you in advance for your honesty, feedback, and participation.

I would participate in a professional development with Denver Zoo that is exclusively virtual.
A professional development where I could participate in conservation efforts and then have time to work on planning implementation into my teaching would be valuable to me.
I won't pay for a professional development course unless it will count toward my pay schedule credit hours.
I only feel a professional development is helpful if I go home with ready-to-use resources.
A professional development where I am taught how to incorporate current conservation efforts into my teaching would be valuable to me.
It is important to me that I can take what I have learned in a professional development and apply it in my own way.
A Denver Zoo educator visiting my classroom virtually to facilitate learning is valuable and worth my class time.
A Denver Zoo educator visiting my classroom in person to help facilitate learning is valuable and worth my class time.
