Bursary Overview: Financial Assistance for travel within Canada for the purpose of research collaboration and skills development within the MfPH network

Deadline : December 31, 2022 (Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis and your applications will be considered until the funding runs out) 

Applicant eligibility: Open to Graduate students, or Post-doctoral fellows within the MfPH network

Eligible travel dates: July 1, 2022 - July 1, 2023

Value & Duration: This grant aims to provide successful applicants with supplemental funding to support their proposed travel. Amounts offered vary depending on the individual circumstance of the person applying. Funding for this award comes from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council (NSERC) as part of the Emerging Infectious Disease Modelling network.

Eligibility: Applicants must be funded by the MfPH program and will use this visit to plan and/or conduct modelling work or study that supports the MfPH program goals, augment their mathematical modelling skills, and develop and strengthen collaborative relationships. Applicants may apply to fund one trip. Applicants must have a contract with one of the MfPH network institutions at the time of application; and for the duration of the visit. 

Review Process: Research Management Committee will be asked to review the application and support/endorse the travel, that the proposed travel is appropriate and aligns with the MfPH program.
