The program strives to increase diversity in ophthalmology by helping underrepresented in medicine (UIM) students become competitive ophthalmology residency applicants. For our purposes, underrepresented in medicine (UIM) students include those who are Black, Hispanic, and / or Native American (American Indian / Alaska Native / Native Hawaiian).

We are seeking students who are their first year in an LCME or COCA accredited U.S. medical school during the 2022-23 academic year.

Applications for the Class of 2023 will open November 2022.
