Funding applications and short-lecture proposals for the Workshop on Lie Groups, Singular Spaces, and Higher Structures (January 9-13, 2023)

The Fields Institute will be able to offer partial reimbursement to some participants in this workshop.

The workshop will include at least one session of short lectures by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other early career researchers.

In this form you will be able to apply for funding and/or to propose a lecture.

We particularly welcome submissions by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and by members of underrepresented minority groups.

Application process

Please fill out the form below. If you are a student or a postdoctoral fellow, please also upload your short CV. In it, you can include any information that you think is relevant to support your application (e.g., degrees, affiliations, publications, projects, coursework, marks).

Important dates

Preference will be given to applications received by September 30th, 2022.

Funding support requirements

We expect requests for funding to far exceed our resources. We strongly encourage applicants to also seek funding from other sources.

Funded participants will need to complete a claims form and to submit travel and accommodation receipts and proof of travel. The reimbursement will be sent as a cheque by mail four to eight weeks after we receive these supporting materials. Your responses will remain confidential; they will only be viewed by the organizers and administrative staff at the Fields Institute who are assisting in hosting the workshop.

•   Fields with an * are mandatory.
•   The "save and continue" option at the top of the form will allow you to enter your email address and receive a link at which you can later return to your unfinished form.
•   Students and postdoctoral fellows should prepare in advance their short CV, in one .pdf file no larger than 10MB, to upload on the form.
•   Once your application is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you designated on your application.

Unless otherwise noted, all responses are confidential, and will only be viewed by the organizers and administrative staff at the Fields Institute who are assisting in hosting the workshop.
