Etsy recently announced that we’ll be making three updates to the Star Seller program:

  • Changing the ratings criteria to a 4.8 rating average in the three-month review period. We’ve heard from you that 4 star ratings are often positive—this change makes it so they count more positively toward your eligibility for Star Seller.

  • Streamlining the Messages tool to address the pain point that additional message threads from the same buyer don’t always require a fast reply.

  • Lowering the order minimum needed to qualify for Star Seller—a change we’re making so that lower volume sellers who provide exceptional customer service can still qualify for a badge.

1. Based on what you’ve read so far, how clear or unclear are these changes?
2. For each of the updates, do you think it is a good change or a bad change to Star Seller?
