Private Schools Emergency Waiver 2022

Private School Notification of Emergency Waiver in Response to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The State Board of Education has been granted authority by the Legislature to allow private schools to waive certain graduation requirements for individual students for the 2021-2022 school year. The emergency rules adopted by the State Board of Education also allows a private school to retain its approval status if the COVID emergency caused a disruption in the school's program so that the hours or days requirement of Basic Education will not be met by the school in the 2021-2022 school year.

This survey is to notify the State Board of Education of your private school's use of the emergency waiver for graduation requirements, and/or the waiver of the hours or days requirement.  More information about the emergency waiver may be found in the Emergency Waiver/Rules FAQ on the SBE website.

Please complete this notification of the use of the emergency waiver by July 31, 2022.

The information that you include in this notification does not affect re-approval.
