The National League for Nursing invites nursing students, nurses, deans and directors of schools of nursing, and administrators in health and hospital systems to nominate a nurse educator for recognition; self-nominations permitted.

Nominees must be a current NLN member and a nurse educator, i.e. dean or director, clinical educator, academic educator, simulation educator, education specialist, or nursing faculty. Nominees also must meet the ethical responsibilities of nursing in keeping with the NLN Core Values of Caring, Integrity, Diversity & Inclusion, and Excellence.

Up to five nurse educators from the pool of nominees will be honored with Nurse Educator of the Year Awards during the 2022 NLN Education Summit, September 28-30 at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

The NLN will not cover any travel, hotel, or other costs for awardees to attend the Summit. Those that attend will be asked to come on stage to receive their award. Those unable to attend will be shipped their award.

Honorees will provide 30 to 60-second video testimonials about who and what served as their inspiration to enter nursing education and the satisfaction they find in teaching and mentoring others. The video will be played when they are recognized at the Summit, whether they attend or not.
