2021-22 Financial Aid Advising Day Survey

Financial Aid Advising Day (FAAD) is an opportunity to provide every high school senior and their family equitable access to the key resources and knowledge to complete the financial aid application process.

Since 2020 per ESSB 6141, public school districts with a high school must:
  • Provide a FAAD which includes dedicated school day time; and 
  • At the beginning of the school year, notify parents and guardians of 12th-grade students of financial aid opportunities.

The Washington Student Achievement Council’s 12th Year Campaign provides resources and staff support to districts and schools to help plan and implement their FAAD.

Even if you were unable to offer a Financial Aid Advising Day aligned to this new requirement last fall, we would like to learn about your experience. We are also interested in learning what activities you may have hosted in the winter/spring of 2022.
