FLEXCON 2022 - KNX IoT Workshop

An opportunity not to be missed! KNX Association is proud to organize the first KNX IoT development workshop in cooperation with FLEXCON, where solution developers will be able to create energy management solutions for homes and buildings. KNX has been in the market for more than 30 years, offering the best interoperability at application level, and the new KNX IoTech platform enhances the way KNX installations are connected to the IP world.

The new KNX IoT specifications offer a lot of opportunities to create meaningful solutions and services for energy-related applications, which use KNX technology as infrastructure (smart meters, actuators, sensors, etc.).

This workshop uses a state-of-the-art test bench, with a virtual KNX installation, in which actuators have load control and current detection that report instant power consumption. The virtual installation offers connectivity over IP thanks to a Proof of Concept KNX IoT 3^rd Party API server. By means of using a free REST client, developers will be capable of creating basic solutions for energy management.

The target of this workshop is that the participants understand the basics of developing software clients for KNX IoT 3^rd Party API servers, which has a direct application in Energy Management solutions.

This workshop is intended for software developers, and it is limited to 15 participants, first come, first served!
