We are always looking for new examples of teacher and student work to highlight and add to our Civics Artifact Library!
Please complete this form to submit your artifact for potential inclusion. The information below will help you prepare to complete this form. Submitted materials will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and you will recieve an email once the review is complete. What are we looking for?
We are looking for teacher- or student-developed work related to one or more of the
six stages of student-led civics projects. We are particularly interested in artifacts that:
- Show evidence of student-driven and/or culturally-responsive components.
- Relate to high school projects completed outside a history/social science course.
Please avoid submiting items that include pieces that are proprietary for another individual or company (e.g. a curriculum developer).Who can submit?
Artifacts may be submitted by students, teachers, and other school- or district-based educators/administrators. You can only submit one artifact per form, though you are welcome to submit multiple artifacts at the same time (each with its own form) or over time.
How do I prepare my artifact(s) for submission?
If you are an educator submitting an example of student work, we encourage you to obtain permission from the student(s) before submitting. Student names should either be redacted or include first name and last initial only (school and district info is ok). Should your artifact be selected, we may need to get signed media releases from you and/or students.
How do I upload/share my artifact?
Your artifact can be any medium. Later in this form you will be asked to upload and/or include a link to your artifact. For any item shared through Google Drive, please ensure that you have updated your link sharing permissions so that anyone on the Internet has access to view.
Please contact Kathryn Gabriele if you have questions or trouble submitting your artifacts.
