Increase Positive Social Activities

Chronic pain can sometimes get in the way of social activities. You may feel too tired, worry that your pain will be too intense, or put chores or other responsibilities before social activities. But, maintaining social connections is still important and a vital part of living a happy life. This exercise will help you to re-discover the kind of activities that you might enjoy.

The first step is to think about what activities you might like. Some examples are listed below.

Meet at a coffee shop
Go to a sporting event
Play board, video, or other games
Take a walk
If one or both of you have a dog, meet at a dog park or walk your dogs together
