THE PEP Walking Master Plan Expert Survey

Introduction

Thank you for taking the time to fill in this survey about walking in the pan-European region.

The aim of the survey is to identify:
  • which policies are most effective at supporting walking in the pan-European region;
  • the opportunities to enable agencies to make walking safer and more comfortable for everyone; and
  • the projects that are improving conditions on the street that could be an inspiration to others.

Your views will help us to target support for national authorities across the pan-European region and to understand how we can more effectively value and embed walking into policy and commitment at a national level.

The results of the survey will inform the first ever pan-European Master Plan Walking. This work is supported by the secretariats of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Transport and Environment Divisions in Geneva and the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) in Copenhagen.

THE PEP is a unique tripartite policy platform that seeks to encourage transport policymakers and urban planners to consider the health and environmental impacts of transport and address them through shared policy approaches. THE PEP Partnerships form an important pillar of THE PEP implementation mechanism providing platforms for pan-European cooperation and the joint development of forward looking strategies, concrete projects and actions for clean, safe, healthy and inclusive mobility and transport.

Answering this survey will take about 8-10 minutes.

We will not attribute any of your comments by name.  We will not link your responses directly to your organisation. Where the data informs the baseline or provides us with an example we would like to document for good practice, we will be in touch directly to discuss this.
