Thank you for your interest in the Reading by Design Certification Program!This is the application for participation in a cohort toward the Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist certification. Once the application is completed, please submit all necessary components within 10 business days to rbdcp@esc4.net. You will be notified of your acceptance status by email on or before June 9.
The complete application components consist of the following:
- Completed application
- Resume or vita
- Official record of educator certificates
- Official transcripts from each college or university attended
- Copies of transcripts are not acceptable as official documents.
- Video of candidate conducting a Reading by Design lesson, if the candidate has successfully completed the Dyslexia Intervention Fundamentals with Reading by Design five-day training. Children should not be visible in the video. For video requirements, please see FAQ on www.esc4.net/rbdcp. Videos are due within 5 business days of submitting the application and no more than 5 business days after the application deadline.
- Criminal background check, if not currently employed at a district, or working with a student group outside of a school setting where the applicant is employed. Applicant must pay the fees for the criminal background check.
Transcripts must be sent directly from the college or university via email or mail. Please send electronic transcripts to rbdcp@esc4.net.
