Important Information Improving Child Safety and Wellbeing and Family Violence Outcomes Project

Victorian primary health care (PHC) nurses- do you know about changes to requirements for child and family violence information sharing? (CISS & FVISS).
APNA is working with the Victorian Department of Education and Training - Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) to improve child safety and wellbeing and family violence outcomes.
Child information sharing is different from mandatory reporting. New child information sharing schemes have commenced in Victoria with GPs and primary health care (PHC) nurses prescribed under the scheme in 2021. Professional obligations under the scheme are not widely understood in the PHC setting.
