VetX International VEER Study 2022

Welcome page and introduction

Hello and welcome to the Veterinary Employment, Engagement, and Retention Survey (VEER) 2022, created and designed by VetX International Ltd.

This survey is for veterinarians, nurses, technicians, and students, from anywhere in the world to assess the overall levels of happiness, stress, and depression amongst people in the veterinary profession. We hope to understand if there are factors that can predict what makes people happy so that we can educate the veterinary world on how to build better, more sustainable job roles and begin to understand the retention issues we have in the profession in many parts of the world.
  • "Are veterinarians happier working in corporate or independent practices?"
  • "Does your career satisfaction relate to your rate of pay?"
  • "Does overtime work increase the level of stress in the profession?"

With your help, we hope to be able to answer these questions and loads more.

The survey takes roughly 10 minutes to complete and will ask you questions about your current job role, your skill sets, your values, and your emotional state.

All information collected on stress, depression, and happiness will be held anonymously and only used to analyse trends in the profession.

Everyone who participates in the survey will be given free access to the results by email.
