As part of our Bilingual Expert Series, NYCDOE, in collaboration with the Center for Teaching for Biliteracy invites bilingual educators to a 2 hour online, synchronous professional development session focused on planning for and implementing the Bridge between Languages, for K-12. This live session will take place via Zoom from 3-5 pm EST on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. This session will be accompanied by synchronous, pre-recorded webinar, The Bridge for Biliteracy, which will be required for attendance to April 5th session.
Participants will engage in planning strategically for bridging languages as a way of:

Engaging in contrastive analysis

Developing metalinguistic awareness
