Need-Based Relief Scholarship (Exec Retreat Unlock): Recipient Submission

Personal Contact Information

In light of ongoing uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic and to promote a Beta experience that is affordable to all, the Beta Foundation is offering $100,000 in need-based relief scholarships for its members throughout the 2021-22 academic year. In addition to the awards that were offered this fall 2021 semester, an additional $1,000 is being offered per chapter this spring 2022 semester.

This iteration of Need-Based Relief Scholarship support is unlocked based on completion, and approval, of the exec transition retreat items you submitted. IF YOU HAVEN’T YET SUBMITTED YOUR EXEC RETREAT MATERIALS TO UNLOCK THESE FUNDS, PLEASE CLICK HERE TO DO THAT FIRST! Once approved by a member of Beta’s Administrative Office staff, you will be directed to this survey to submit recipient(s) for funds totaling $1,000.

The recipient(s) will be processed and the checks will be made payable to the student and the university for tuition-related expenses. Like many scholarships, the check is to be submitted to the university's financial aid office or the university accounting services against the student's account.

Chapters should assemble a selection committee and review applications directly. After selecting 1-4 members to receive scholarship funds, a representative should submit award winners’ names, addresses and contact information using the survey below.

Note: Each chapter may decide the number of scholarships awarded and individual scholarship amounts. However, the amounts must be between $250-$1,000 per person and may not exceed the $1,000 grant in total. See this Selection Guidance resource for helpful tips to consider when trying to weigh greatest need.
