Call for Poster Submissions!

The 2nd annual Pathogen Genomics Symposium, hosted by the Havey Institute for Global Health's Center for Pathogen Genomics and Microbial Evolution, will be taking place on Monday, April 24th. The event will include a full day of scholarly events beginning with a pathogen genomics workshop, a lunchtime flash talks session, a keynote address, a series of research overview talks, and concluding with a poster session and reception.

Time: 9:00a.m. - 5:30p.m.
Where: Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center 


Internal and external students, faculty, community members and partners from all disciplines are welcome to participate and apply to present on projects relevant to pathogen genomics and microbial evolution.

The deadline to submit poster abstracts is Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 by 5:00p.m. CST. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words.

Presenters, or a representative, must be available to present their poster in-person during the Pathogen Genomics Symposium lunchtime poster session on Monday, April 24th, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Potocsnak Family Atrium. All accepted applicants will receive more details about the presentation format, presenter expectations, and poster guidelines in the coming weeks.

Flash Talks: 4 - 5 submitted abstracts will be selected for presentation as a 5-minute Flash Talk between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Potocsnak Family Atrium. Please indicate on your abstract submission form if you would NOT like to be considered for a Flash Talk. Submitters will be notified by Tuesday, April 11th if their abstract was selected for a Flash Talk.  

On the following page you will be prompted to submit details about yourself and your co-authors (if applicable), as well as enter your abstract.
