CSU Quality Learning and Teaching QLT 3rd Edition (2022) Self-Review 

Introduction - About this Review

On behalf of CSU Online Course Services Program, thank you for taking the time to complete an informal self-review of an online or hybrid course in the CSU.  The goal of this review is to provide encouragement and support toward designing and delivering courses that result in quality learning experiences for students.  All information you provide in this review will be kept within the CSU QLT program.  No information you provide will be shared without your express written permission.

This review has two parts:

• Part I has seven items that address course and instructor demographics.
• Part II has 52 course objectives for you to rate that are organized into the following 9 sections:
  1. Course Overview and Introduction (9 objectives)
  2. Student Learning and Assessment (6 objectives)
  3. Instructional Materials and Resources Utilized (6 objectives)
  4. Students Interaction and Community (6 objectives)
  5. Facilitation and Instruction (9 objectives)
  6. Technology for Teaching and Learning (5 objectives)
  7. Learner Support and Resources (4 objectives)
  8. Accessibility and Universal Design (4 objectives)
  9. Course Summary and Wrap-up (3 objectives)

A subset of 24 QLT objectives are identified as “CORE” elements that should be present in a quality online or hybrid course with the term “CORE” denoted to the right of the objective number.  At the beginning of the self-review you will have the option to complete a review across the 52 objectives or a self-review across the 24 CORE objectives. 

If you need to exit any part of this review before you have completed it, there is a "Save and continue survey later" option at the bottom of each page.  The first time you "Save" your review,  you will be prompted to provide your email address and the email will have a link to access the survey with your progress saved.  You will need to "Save" the email for future access to your self-review if you plan to complete the review over more than 2 intervals.  Remember to "check" your spam or clutter folders if you do not see this email as it is automated and it will come from SurveyGizmo with the Subject heading: Reminder- Don't forget to complete the response you started.
