Plan Ferndale: Unpacking Development

Introduction

This survey is intended to replicate the discussion feedback from the October 26th Community Summit Session on Unpacking Development. You can watch the recorded presentation here or review the presentation slides here.

We value the opinions of all Ferndale stakeholders - whether you live, work, play, pray, or learn here - your voice matters.

Plan Ferndale is an update of the City's Master Land Use Plan and Parks and Recreation Plan and the incorporation of the City's first Climate Action Plan. Read more about it at PlanFerndale.com.

Our goal is to better understand your wants and needs in regards to the future of affordable housing, character, parking mobility + access, and stormwater + greenspace in your community.

This survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete.

Why are we talking about development during the master plan process?

Now is the time for you to proactively share your thoughts, concerns, and priorities to shape a policy and regulatory framework that will influence future development. Once development is proposed, you as a community member still have mechanisms to provide feedback but that engagement is more reactive. This survey is focused on community goals, development priorities, trade-offs, and how the city should focus its resources to support the kind of development the community needs, wants, and deserves.
1. What do you think is the highest development priority for the city?
(As part of the Unpacking Development session, we are most interested in site-specific comments regarding new development and redevelopment but would be interested to hear about how new development plays into the city-wide system.) Order the items from the following list. First select an item with the spacebar to show a menu of possible ranking positions. Next, click a ranking position to order it in the ranked list. Note the menu will display more ordering options as you add items to the ranked list.
3. Choose your own adventure. Which topic(s) would you like to respond to? Feel free to come back and take the survey for another topic at a later time.  *This question is required.
