Credit risk is a key component of financial analysis – it focuses on whether you will get paid in full and on time when you lend someone money. At Moody’s, we take a fundamental approach to assessing credit risk, based on financial metrics and analytical judgement. In this session members of our Corporate Finance analytical team will describe the role of a Credit Rating Agency in financial markets, as well as the rating process, before leading the group through a case study applying one of our published methodologies to two hypothetical companies participating in an acquisition.  Attendees will learn how financial strength and other credit factors can drive ratings. The event is expected to last around two hours, with time for Q&A incorporated throughout.
