Thank you for your interest in joining the Wester Alumni Advisory Council. The purpose of the Council is to nurture lifelong relationships among alumni and with the Western Colorado University community. The Council consists of passionate Western alumni dedicated to fulfilling our mission by providing opportunities for meaningful connection and involvement with other alumni, students, faculty, and staff of Western Colorado University.
Council members have the opportunity to:
- Use their Voice: Council members use their voice and communication channels to listen to alumni while actively communicating Western happenings and Alumni Relations news and events.
- Network: Alumni networking is the key to engagement and council members play and active role in building new relationships and networks to connect alumni to one another.
- Make a Financial Commitment: Alumni are instrumental in the success and future of Western. All Council members make financial or in-kind contributions to serve as an example to other alumni and potential donors. The size of the commitment is up to you and is expected annually.
- Participate in Council Committees: All council members are expected to participate on one Council committee.
- Commit Time and Energy: Council members are expected to participate in meetings and events averaging 4 to 6 hours per month. Meetings are held virtually every month on the first Wednesday at noon.
