In 1997, Vital Voices was created to make space for women to be heard. Our founders knew then what has now become a universal truth: that women are essential to progress in their communities. Our world cannot move forward without their full participation.
Today, our organization is the product of the women we have worked with, their insights into leadership and our changing world.
Vital Voices’ mission is to identify, invest in and bring visibility to extraordinary women around the world by unleashing their leadership potential to transform lives and accelerate peace and prosperity in their communities.
The
Rising Voices Clubs will leverage Vital Voices’ learnings, tools and proven model to ignite young women across the United States to create projects that solve a unique challenge in their community and bring people together in their schools to create positive change.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
The 2022 Rising Voices Clubs application must be submitted by
Sunday, January 9th at 11:59pm EST. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, January 7th.
TIMELINE:
The Rising Voices Clubs will be carried out from January to May of 2022. Club Leaders will be expected to attend monthly webinars and participate in providing feedback to Vital Voices. Additionally, with the opening of the Vital Voices Headquarters in 2022, we look forward to opening the space to engage young leaders and welcome them to our global network.

- Wednesday, January 19th from 4:00-5:00pm ET: Program Launch Webinar
- Tuesday, February 22nd from 4:00-5:00pm ET: Check-In #1
- Thursday, March 24th from 4:00-5:00pm ET: Check-In #2
- Wednesday, April 27th from 4:00-5:00pm ET: Check-In #3
- Tuesday, May 17th from 4:00-5:00pm ET: Program Wrap Up
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Rising Voices Club Leader Applicants Must Be:
- Legal residents and enrolled in high school or secondary school (CA) in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada; AND
- A high school student during the 2021 – 2022 academic year.
