Join First Steps at the Education Fund!

What is First Steps?

First Steps will provide additional support to eligible learners who live or work in California's Central Valley or Inland Empire regions. This additional support is acquired through participation in one of the Preparation and Critical Skills programs listed below and partake in a CalJobs intake appointment which will approximately last up to 30 minutes. Once the intake is complete, learners will have the opportunity to receive up to a $500 stipend to be used on financial obstacles, which includes childcare costs, bills, and utilities, rent, or other hardships/emergency funding.

Preparing for a new job means getting the right tools and building a strong foundation. The Education Fund can help! What do you need to add to your toolbox?
