The purpose of this study is to better understand how people think of religious traditions that are different from their own. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire online. There are no costs to participating in this study besides the approximately 20 minutes it will take to complete the questionnaire. The results of the study will be shared with St. Olaf College, Interfaith Philadelphia, and may be shared at professional conferences or in publications. Your participation in this project will not be disclosed to anyone and your information will be anonymous.
We hope that this study will give you an opportunity to reflect on your relationship with your own religion as well as your relationship with the people, beliefs, and practices of other religions that are not your own. You are free to choose to take this questionnaire, or not to take this questionnaire, and you will not be penalized or lose any benefits to which you may otherwise be entitled if you choose not to take it. You are free to stop taking the questionnaire at any point, or to only take some of it (e.g., by choosing not to answer some questions), even after starting the questionnaire, without any penalty or loss of benefits.
