NTAA Baseline Needs Assessment

You are invited by the National Tribal Air Association (NTAA) to participate in a national Tribal survey. NTAA was founded in 2002 with a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Air and Radiation. NTAA works with its 153 members Tribes to advance air quality management policies and programs, consistent with the needs, interests, and unique legal status of American Indian Tribes and Alaska Natives.

The purpose of this NTAA survey is to identify the range of Tribal air quality funding needs and priorities. By helping NTAA to comprehensively describe Tribes’ funding needs and priorities, NTAA can help build Tribal air quality management capacity.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. You may refuse to take part in the survey or exit the survey at any time. You are free to decline to answer any question you do not wish to answer for any reason. The survey will take between 15-20 minutes to complete. The first 50 respondents who complete the survey will receive a $10 Starbucks or $10 Amazon gift card.

If your internet connection is limited and you have trouble completing the survey, we are happy to conduct the survey with you by telephone. To take the survey by phone, please email Gillian Mittelstaedt at

If you have any questions about how your responses and survey data will be used by NTAA, please contact Andy Bessler at
