Advocating for Student and Teacher Mental Health Training

In a recent survey conducted by Teach Plus and FuelEd, teachers from across the country made clear that their schools are not doing enough to support student and teacher mental health. The American Rescue Plan (ARP) will provide significant funding for states, districts, and schools and so this summer is a prime opportunity to use your teacher voice and leadership to address the needs of students and teachers alike.

Teach Plus and FuelEd invite you to come to a teacher-led training session on June 30th, July 13th, or July 27th to learn how you can advocate for and work with your school and school system leaders to improve mental health supports for students and teachers. (Additional dates may be added.)

These training sessions will take place on Zoom and last from 7 PM to 8 PM ET / 4 PM to 5 PM PT. During this training, you'll hear results from the joint survey conducted by Teach Plus and FuelEd on addressing student and teacher mental health, hear directly from teacher leaders on how to advocate for changes in mental health supports, get access to materials and resources you can use in your advocacy, and have time with other teachers as you tailor these resources for your own use.

If you are interested in this work but are unable to attend one of these training sessions, please email research@teachplus.org and we will send you the resources.

Once you click on the registration link below, you'll be able to select the training date you'd like to attend. A meeting invite and Zoom link will sent to you when your registration is complete.

Please feel free to share this invitation with other educators who are interested in advocating for student and teacher mental health supports. Questions about this work can be sent to research@teachplus.org.

We hope to see you at the trainings!

Sincerely,

Teach Plus & FuelEd
