Center for Global Health Education - Outstanding Educator of the Year Award (2023-2024)
The purpose of the CGHE Outstanding Educator of the Year Award is to recognize outstanding global health educators for their contributions across Northwestern University’s Chicago and Evanston Campuses. This award honors individuals who have provided exceptional support for the development and advancement of teaching and learning in global health.
Please consider the following criteria in deciding who to nominate and in developing your nomination statement. Wherever possible, provide specific examples of how the nominee fulfills these criteria. All categories may not be applicable.
1.
Teaching Excellence. Demonstrate the nominee’s excellence in teaching based on contemporary, research-based knowledge of global health, outstanding lectures, engaged pedagogy and casework and the development of teaching methods.
2.
Student Engagement. Explain how the nominee supports student activities, including advising and mentoring.
3.
Curricular Innovation. Describe any design, innovation or improvement of existing curricula and the impact that this will have on the program and students.
Or
Innovation. Describe how the nominee has contributed or created curricula for their program.

, May 3rd. Nominations should be no longer than 750 words. The recipient of the award will be announced at
Global Health Education Day on Wednesday, May 8th.
