Application

2021 NAAE Student Worker Application

Program Description
NAAE seeks to advance agricultural education and promote the professional interests and growth of agriculture teachers as well as recruit and prepare students who have a desire to teach agriculture. The organization is dedicated to developing professional pride and competency, to nourish a spirit of unity among classroom teachers, and to recognize members for conducting outstanding programs. It monitors governmental affairs affecting agricultural education and assists in the development of priorities and strategies to effect federal legislation and appropriations. With its mission in mind, NAAE has temporary employment opportunities available for preservice agricultural educators, who are NAAE student members through student employment (on-site, during the academic school year).

NAAE anticipates hiring two student workers for the 2021-2022 school year. Students who exemplify the best qualities of young professionals will be invited to continue their positions until they student-teach or graduate from their postsecondary institution. Work schedules will be determined based upon the applicant's availability.

To be eligible to apply for this program, each applicant must be:
  1. an agricultural education major at a college or university that offers a program of study in agricultural education-teacher certification track or similar licensure program that ends in being certified to teach agriculture at the secondary level.
  2. a 2021-2022 NAAE student member ($10). Check membership status with Ashley Hood at ahood.naae@uky.edu.
