The purpose of this questionnaire is to raise awareness of the range of well-being and mental health issues that current Cal Poly students face. Completing this will prompt reflection on your perceptions and assumptions by inviting your estimates regarding the extent of the challenges on campus, which you can then compare with recent findings. This is not data collection for formal research but instead is a method of informing and motivating interest in students' well-being.
Below are a selection of questions drawn from a survey of Cal Poly students conducted by the Healthy Minds organization for Cal Poly in Fall 2020. In your responses, you are asked to estimate what you think are the actual percentages reported by students to the same questions.
All responses are anonymous. When you are click the "submit" button on the last page, you will be emailed a report with your responses and a link to a web page with the actual percentages. With those in hand you can compare your estimates to the actual percentages and see where the reality may differ from your expectations.
More information and resources about understanding and supporting student well-being and mental health will also be offered.
