Hennepin County is reevaluating the current use and design of Minnetonka Boulevard between Highway 100 and France Avenue. The county and its partners are developing a plan for the corridor to better serve current and future users, and is seeking public input to inform the project.
Initial considerations for this project include:
- Improved connections and accommodations for people biking, walking, and rolling
- Lane reconfigurations and realignments
- Relocating overhead utilities underground
- Streetscape improvements
Given the location and importance of Minnetonka Boulevard, gathering concerns from area businesses, residents, and the traveling public - including people walking, biking, rolling, and driving – is a top priority. Throughout the public engagement effort, the project team will:
- Prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Collaborate with community partners
- Identify and clearly communicate any impacts of proposed changes
