Barbara Levy, MD, FACOG, FACS, is a lifelong advocate for advancing the quality and equity of women’s health, an inspiring leader and mentor, and has broken through barriers to women in medicine. The Barbara Levy AchieveHER Award was established in 2021 to recognize female leaders in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) who exemplify the qualities of Dr. Levy.
This application may be submitted to nominate a qualified individual or for self-nomination. An FAAGL designated committee will review all applications and select a winner. Winners will be notified by August 31, 2021. The winner chosen will receive Global Congress registration, recognition of this prestigious award and presentation of a beautiful commemorative statue at the AAGL's 50th Global Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Additional winnings to be determined by the Foundation of the AAGL Board of Directors.

The nominee must be recognized as female leader in MIGS who has paved the way for female MIGS surgeons and meets the following requirements:
- 5 -15 years out of (fellowship) training
- Served in leadership roles for the AAGL or other societies
- Considered an influential mentor to others for five or more years
- Must be a member of the AAGL
- Must be a Practicing Physician
- If selected and travel restrictions permit, the winner must attend AAGL’s 50th Global Congress to accept the award in person at the General Session Monday morning, November 15, 2021.

- A current curriculum vitae (CV) of the nominee
- Self-nominations must include a letter of reference
