Silver State Legacy Program Award

Silver State Legacy Program is a program that holds special prominence in the local community and the state of Nevada. These are the programs and events which have endured the test of time and have become iconic to those who have attended and participated in these programs. Designation as a Silver State Legacy Program is the highest accolade the Nevada Recreation and Park Society can bestow upon a program.
These programs and events play an important role in the development of and relationships within a community. These programs promote cooperation, social interaction, education, the arts, and more.
Just as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has become a tradition, these programs and events have become mainstays in the community.

13. AWARDS: Awards will be given to one program annually as recommended by the review committee. Plaques will be awarded to the responsible Agency. *This question is required.

14. Judging: Each program will be evaluated by a review committee consisting of at least one director level park and recreation professional/retiree, and two certified professionals (CPRP/CPRE) throughout the State of Nevada. Only one program will be awarded per year. *This question is required.
