City of Detroit Community Preparedness Survey

Instructions

The City of Detroit is conducting this survey to understand the preparedness needs and risk perceptions of its residents. This survey is a part of the Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) update process. The HMP will help the city to reduce or prevent significant property damage and loss of life in the event of a disaster.

Hazard mitigation is any sustainable action to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to human life and property from hazards. Mitigation breaks the cycle of disaster damage, reconstruction, and repeated damage.

This survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept confidential, and your participation is strictly voluntary. Your input will enable Detroit to better serve our residents and visitors.

Please complete the survey by September 30, 2021.
