For District Clay's second juried show this year, we are looking for your vase-making skills! Current District Clay artists, students, and teachers are encouraged to make vases in the coming weeks to submit for the exhibition - any shape, size, and as imaginative as you want! Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Second Place, and Third Place.
To apply, you must be a current DCC artist, student or teacher. Submissions may include any vase you've made at District Clay, past or present. Be creative - a vase can be many things, including sculptural work. Submissions will be juried by DCC Resident Artists Connor Czora, Chad Gunderson, and Ara Koh.
Timeline, 2021:
- July 4, 11:59 PM: Submissions are due
- July 9: Applicants will be notified of acceptance
- July 19: Opening in District Clay Showroom; prizes awarded
- September 3: Show ends, unsold work returned to artists
Prizes:
Best in Show: $125
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $100
Please bring your vase labeled with your first and last name to DCC by July 4. You may bring your work to the wire racks by the kitchen or to Connor's office (with the bead curtain).
Please upload up to 3 photos of your vase. Title your files Lastname_First1.jpg, Lastname_First2.jpg, and so on.
