About the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN):
MACN was established in 2011 as an industry-led collective action initiative. With 150 members, MACN has grown to have a strong industry voice, and has become one of the preeminent examples of a collective action network taking tangible steps to eliminate corruption. MACN provides a unique forum for businesses to contribute to the elimination of corruption in the maritime industry, for the benefit of society at large.

Dear survey respondent,
The purpose of this survey is to collect data that MACN, in combination with its incident reporting data and desktop research, will use to identify corruption hotspots for the maritime industry and establish MACN's country priorities for the collective action work stream in the 3-5 coming years.
The approach is based on 3 criteria, which will guide MACN's analysis of the data collected:
- Frequency: List the top five countries where you most frequently face corruption challenges.
- Severity: Rate the severity of the corruption challenges you face in the country.
- Relevance: Looking 3-5 years ahead, rate to what degree the country will remain a key market for your company.
The result of this exercise will be a list of priority countries, or "hotspots", of most relevance for companies in the shipping industry. These priority tier countries will drive MACN's collective action strategy going forward.
The survey will take 6-7 minutes to complete.
We thank you for your participation!
