Professor Alan Walker Paediatric Scholarship 2021

Purpose
Professor Alan Walker is regarded as a champion of medicine in the field of paediatrics in the Northern Territory. This scholarship provides up to 3 awards of $5,000 each for GP registrars training with NTGPE who have an interest in further education in paediatrics, and who have demonstrated high standards of professional behaviour throughout their education and training. This is a self-nominated scholarship.

Eligibility criteria
  • applicant must be enrolled in an NTGPE training program
  • demonstrated consistent professional behaviour and commitment to training in Northern Territory and Indigenous health (in all aspects of education and training)
Payment
$5,000 one-off payment per GP registrar recipient.

Applications open: 8am, 21 April, 2021
Applications close: 4pm, 21 May, 2021

COVID-19 Information
NTGPE will host the 2021 Awards and Fellowship Ceremony in Darwin on Friday, 15 October 2021. Scholarship and award recipients are invited to attend the ceremony to accept their award (expenses paid). NTGPE will consult with the event venue and ensure all regulations and health and safety measures are in place at this event. NTGPE continues to closely monitor advice given by the NT and Australian Government Departments of Health and will notify invited guests if the event is cancelled due to government restrictions or border closures.
