This 16 hour Clinical Supervision Foundations II training consists of 12 hours of interactive Zoom training sessions and 4 hours of multi-media homework assignments.
In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, clinical supervision becomes crucial in supporting and gently guiding your staff towards flexibility and resilience. When properly implemented it improves client care, develops clinical skills, and improves the knowledge and professionalism of clinical personnel. It is paramount in imparting and maintaining ethical standards in the addictions profession.
There is a deep need for all of us to strengthen our understanding of trauma, toxic stress and the behaviors that they see in ourselves and each other. Participants will be asked to explore and contemplate information about toxic stress/trauma, how people respond and most importantly what that means for the conversation that they have with their supervisees. Self-care will be considered throughout the training to build supervisory resiliency and additional skills to support staff.
Participants will complete assigned worksheets which will be followed by a full discussion during the live sessions. In addition, the trainer will speak individually with the learners (separate from the full session) to process their thoughts/beliefs/values, etc. The focus of the training is to build a safe, collaborative space where personal and professional growth is possible.
