2021 EFCG Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Development Mini-Survey

DEI Series & Mini-Survey Details

Given the changes in society, both in the US and globally, a deliberate focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is essential in every organization. Thank you to everyone for completing our recent questionnaire about the kind of DEI programming support you’d like EFCG to provide. Our goal is to use our platforms to open up a broader conversation on improving DEI in the industry, a journey that will ultimately lead to stronger business outcomes for your firm. Based on the questionnaire responses, we will now offer three different DEI programs as a means to best tailor to everyone’s interests. You are welcome to join in all or any number of these events. 

In preparation for these events, you have requested we gather additional data, from both the US and globally, to analyze and share back with participants. We ask that you complete this mini-survey to the best of your ability and read below for the details on our upcoming events. All individual responses will be kept confidential only aggregated data will be shared with larger groups. 

Participation in the mini-survey is required to be eligible to attend any of these events. We expect it to take about 10 minutes to complete. 

DEI Roundtable
Date: April 29, 2021 from 1pm – 3pm ET (virtual)

This roundtable will explore the current challenges firms are facing when it comes to implementing measures to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion. This session depends on all attendees openly sharing common problems, questions, and goals as experienced in their organizations. By continuing the DEI dialogue through this discovery session, our goal is to make the topic more accessible for the industry and set the foundation for upcoming events.    

HR Leadership Conference
Date: May 20 – 21, 2021 (virtual)
Attendees: CHROs, HRDs, and other HR Professionals

EFCG will host its 12th annual HR Leadership Conference this year, inviting HR leaders to come together to share their insights and learnings on HR strategies, policies and metrics as well as the impact of broader current events. All this is augmented by EFCG’s data and expertise in business and financial analysis, which leverages our extensive industry and HR-specific proprietary database. During this year’s event, we will host a DEI session that will share the highlights of the April 29th session as well as the perspectives on industry and DEI experts in the space. Data from our 2021 HR Survey will also be reviewed with insights from EFCG. This will be a highly insightful session with many different perspectives, leading to fruitful conversation.

Many of you expressed interest in a one-day workshop which focuses on crafting unique ways to address the DEI challenges and questions your firm has. This intensive workshop will take the key learnings from the April DEI Roundtable and the HR Leadership Conference and augment it with research, data, and other learnings on strategies and policies that have been reported from inside and outside the A/E/C industry. The ultimate goal of the event is to provide attendees with additional action steps and solution paths to consider using going forward, while building upon best practices that have already begun to move the needle. We have an immense opportunity in this industry to accelerate progress around DEI, and therefore amplify our impact to society at large.
