Elementary Principals Professional Development Series: May Statewide Convening
DESE’s Early Learning Team and MSAA has been hosting a series of networking and professional development opportunities for elementary principals (Preschool-3rd grade) during the 2020-2021 school year. The theme for this year’s series is Creating a Caring Community: Caring for Ourselves and Our Staff Using a Trauma-Informed Lens. The next convening will be held on Monday, May 27th from 3:00-4:30. The session will include a 60 minute presentation with Dr. Nicole Christian-Brathwaite focused on trauma informed care (of students, staff, principals and families) with a focus on incorporating anti-racist practices followed by break-outs for the principals to connect and network with each other.
