LAJTI's Teens for Tikkun: A Summer Program to Learn/Advocate/Illuminate Application 2021

LAJTI's Teens for Tikkun: A Summer Program to Learn/Advocate/Illuminate

Thank you for your interest in this summer's virtual program, Teens for Tikkun, a project of the Los Angeles Jewish Teen Initiative. LAJTI is a community-wide initiative aimed to dramatically enhance the landscape of Jewish LA for teens and provide them with meaningful opportunities for engagement in Jewish life.

This virtual program runs from June 15-July 8, 2021 Monday-Thursday 10:30 am- 12:30pm. Teens for Tikkun is designed for rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade Jewish teens interested in learning more about critical issues facing our local community and world today, from food injustice to environmental concerns.  Accomplished professionals from local Jewish non-profit organizations will help illuminate the issues through a Jewish lens and discuss upcoming plans for change. During our 3 1/2- week program we will develop advocacy skills, learn how to impact change, and create meaningful connections with others.

As the impact of Covid-19 challenges us to adapt to our changing world, now more than ever, our community needs you!!  This is a terrific way to spend a little over three weeks this summer meeting new friends and making a difference for the good - while earning service-learning credit!
