The
DC Food Policy Council has made a
top 2021 strategy to support the development of affordable commercial kitchen spaces, particularly for Black and Latinx-led food businesses. To support this, the Entrepreneurship & Food Jobs Working Group and the Innovation & Equitable Development team at theĀ
Department of Small & Local Business Development are launching this survey to gather information about food businesses looking for space and the businesses, restaurants, nonprofits, schools, and faith-based institutions that have commercial kitchens that could potentially host food makers in their under-utilized hours.
While we cannot guarantee finding matches for everyone who completes this survey, we are hoping to connect folks looking for kitchen access to those who have it. Anonymized data will also be used to demonstrate the demand for kitchen space to inform the work of the Entrepreneurship & Food Jobs Working Group. Please send any questions to inno.ed@dc.gov
