Synchronous session via Zoom - February 18 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. EST (designed for development/communication officers who have participated in the asynchronous 4-day Canvas course)
Synchronous session via Zoom - February 19 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. EST (open to all leaders)

You will receive an invitation to Canvas and the Zoom meetings closer to the date of the meeting.

Development/communication officers benefit from sharing best practices related to administration and management strategies, and legal issues in areas of institutional advancement. With the pivot to virtual experiences, ATS is pleased to offer this session as the first of three learning experiences for development/communication officers during this year. This first gathering, designed for new and veteran development/communication officers, focuses on four key content areas and related subtopics:

The art of fundraising: meeting and building relationships with donors
The science of fundraising: planned gifts and major gifts
Communication: engaging the next generation
Leadership: building and managing a team

On February 15-18, development/communication officers will be engaged in an asynchronous course in Canvas that concludes with a Zoom meeting on Thursday, February 18. On Friday, February 19, development/communication officers will join other school leaders in a webinar designed to explore how other units across the institution can play a pivotal role in the achievement of their schools' development/communication goals and objectives.
