Family College Borrower Sign Up

FCPT Sign Up Form

We’re excited to ask you to help out with a new resource the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is developing for family borrowers like you. Families often help pay for a child, grand-child or other family member’s education expenses. The CFPB’s new tool will help families paying for students’ college education better understand their options to pay for college.

CFPB’s goal is to learn about your borrowing experience (whether it is upcoming or in the past). You might have already helped pay for college, or be considering paying for college for a child, grandchild, or other family member using retirement accounts, home equity, student loans or other debt.

There are two options for sharing information with CFPB.
  1. Interviews: Interviews will be done over an online video call system and will last approximately 60 minutes. Those who participate in the one-hour interview session will receive a $75 gift card to thank you for your time.
  1. Listening Sessions: Listening sessions will be done over an online video call system and will take approximately 90 minutes. Those who participation in the 90-minute listening session will receive a $50 gift card to thank you for your time.
The CFPB has partnered with Abt Associates, an independent research organization, to conduct these interviews and listening sessions.
