The Health Resources and Services Administration HIV/AIDS Bureau funded Abt Associates to support the development and implementation of a practical measure for estimating Unmet Need for HIV primary medical care that can be implemented across Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part A and Part B grant recipients. As part of these activities, the Abt Unmet Need Technical Assistance Team is developing webinar and technical assistance materials to support recipients in conducting Unmet Need Estimates and Analyses.
Purpose of the Assessment
The purpose of this assessment is to better understand key characteristics about your jurisdiction and your Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) that can inform 1) which types of estimates and analyses your jurisdiction chooses to complete, and 2) resources that will be needed to complete the estimates and analyses. This information can be utilized by your jurisdiction to develop a plan for completing the Unmet Need estimates and analyses. Information may also be used by the Abt Unmet Need Technical Assistance Team in providing customized technical assistance to RWHAP recipients.
Your responses are confidential and data will not be shared with HRSA HAB. Completing the Assessment
To complete this assessment, you may need information from a variety of people at your agency. For example, you’ll need to know how you complete analyses of both RWHAP and HIV surveillance data. To make it easier to complete, we’ve provided a pdf version of the survey on which you can collect the requested information. You also don’t need to enter all information at one time but once you submit the survey you can’t change your responses.
Only one person/agency should complete the assessment.

How Long Will The Assessment take?
The assessment should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
By When Should I Complete the Assessment?
Part A and B recipients are requested to complete the assessment as soon as possible, but no later than the end of January. While your participation is not required, it will help you better prepare for completing the Unmet Need Estimates and Analyses.
