Raleigh Arts is working on the city’s first-ever public art plan, which will provide new direction on how public art is created for public and private places throughout the city. Through this process, Raleigh Arts will be looking at how to maximize the use of public and private public art resources in a way that reflects the evolving use of public space in the city; taps broadly into the city’s creative resources; embraces the diversity of the city’s communities, histories and cultures; and supports the city’s arts ecosystem.
We’re asking everyone who lives and works in Raleigh for their ideas about how public art can best impact the city. All you have to do is fill out this questionnaire, which should only take a few minutes of your time. The questionnaire responses will be collected by Raleigh Arts, analyzed and documented in a research report. The findings will be used to inform discussions of an advisory committee and ultimately recommendations that are brought to the Public Art and Design Board and City Council.
