Reporting on Immunisation - 8-12 February

EXTENDED DEADLINE: 

Thomson Reuters Foundation in partnership with the Sabin Vaccine Institute launches an 5 day-long training programme “Reporting on Immunisation and Vaccination”.

The form is for English-language course which will run from 8th to 12th February.

The programme will be covering a wide scope of immunisation-related topics: the role of vaccines in public health, new and emerging issues particularly around COVID-19 vaccines, and the responsibility of media in educating the public about misinformation on vaccines and immunization.

The programme consists of 4 days of online training, followed by one-to-one online mentoring for all participants. £250 story grants and ongoing mentoring for 8 weeks will be available to selected applicants following the course. 

Applicants who are interested in issues related to health reporting and the current issues on immunisation are encouraged to apply, as well as specialist health reporters. Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ professional experience and a good level of spoken and written English to apply to the English-language course.

The applicants must live and work in Guyana and other low-and middle-income countries in the
Latin America and Caribbean region, including Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Suriname and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The deadline is January 25. Successful applicants will be notified by January 29. Thomson Reuters Foundation does not comment the selection results nor informs participants who weren't selected.
