Head and neck cancers make up about 4% of all cancers in the United States. Diagnosis typically happens after age 50, but head and neck cancers are on the rise in younger men, according to the National Cancer Institute. What are they? Any cancers that occur in the mouth, the throat, the voice box, the paranasal sinuses, inside the nasal cavity, or in the salivary glands (they do not include brain cancers or cancers of the eye).
