Survey of off-road fuel use

Introduction
MartinJenkins has been commissioned by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) to conduct research on off-road liquid fuel consumption (petrol and diesel) in New Zealand. This survey is an important part of this research because it engages directly with businesses using fuel in New Zealand and queries how they access fuel supplies, and how they use this fuel. Your feedback is very important to us, thanks for completing this survey.

Definitions
  • Liquid fuel: Liquid fuel includes petrol and diesel and excludes fuel oil, aviation fuels, and other oil products.
  • Off-road: Off-road use of fuel refers to fuel used in machinery and equipment off public roads – eg diesel used in a tractor on the farm, diesel used in a grader for building a road, and petrol used in a boat.

Confidentiality
Your individual survey responses will only be seen by the MartinJenkins team conducting this research, it will not be passed on to EECA or any other party. Your survey responses will be aggregated with other responses to create sub-sector statistical summaries – it will be impossible for these summaries to be used to identify individual respondents – these summaries will be provided to EECA in a written report. At the conclusion of this research project, individual survey responses will be deleted. Your participation in this research is voluntary – you may stop at any time.
