Emerging Urban Leaders Cohort Program

Salzburg Global Seminar (SGS) and World Urban Parks (WUP) partnership is creating an Emerging Urban Leaders (EUL) Cohort Program to provide thought leadership in safe spaces for emerging urban leaders to collectively advance the critical urban parks work.  

Only completed applications will be considered. This application can be saved and returned to up to the designated due date. The due date is January 29th, 2021 at 11:59 PM MST.

Program Application Criteria

Candidates are appointed through a competitive application process to bring a diversity of professional knowledge, perspective, and experience to the program, and are selected based on their ideas, geographic and gender diversity, and commitment to making a difference in their communities. 
To be eligible for the program all applicants must:
•    Be proficient in English, the working language for the program
•    Work in or be transitioning to an urban work environment
•    Have an idea or a vision for changing and improving their urban context advancing urban parks work
•    Want to become an active member of the EUL Program, and be prepared to commit time, energy, and resources to sustaining this Program
•    Aim to create social change and strengthen the urban communities’ interaction with nature within their context
•    Demonstrate creativity in approach to work, openness to innovation and risk-taking, action-orientation, and entrepreneurial inclination
•    Have a cross-sectoral approach to work and/or demonstrate an interest in building cross-sectoral alliances/partnerships beyond current sector

There are no age restrictions and applicants can come from any type of organization.
